31st City-Wide Garage Sale Day May 11

The 31st annual Proctor Journal Community Wide Garage Sale Day will be held on Saturday, May 11.

While the event is listed as a single day, many hold their sales over a two or three day period. The event is also good for the environment as residents embrace the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. By holding a garage sale, they are diverting goods from landfills.

This is a great opportunity to take advantage of others’ spring-cleaning as Proctor welcomes many shoppers by offering the convenience of a city-wide garage sale.

Registrations are now being accepted at the Proctor Journal during business hours, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday mornings. The cost to register is $20. The fee covers all advertising, inclusion on the sale map and a sale sign. A portion of the registration will be donated to Area Churches Together Free Community Picnic. Those having garage sales are encouraged to “be on the map.”

Call 218-624-3344 with questions during business hours. A registration form is located on the Journal website and in upcoming editions.
