Hoghead DTA detour adds to route confusion

The annual “Proctor Hoghead Festival” DTA bus detour will last through Sunday until the street cleanup is completed.  Third Avenue between 4^th and 5^th Streets will be closed at various times through approximately noon Sunday. To reduce passenger confusion Route 3 Proctor buses will use only one detour for the entire period that starting Wednesday morning, until Sunday at noon.

Adding to the confusion is the detour already in place for the Second Street construction.  The detour, that began in early summer is set to expire on August 27 when the DTA is schedule to start their new Better Bus Blueprint system that will eliminate bus service to the west side of Proctor

Third Avenue between 4^th and 5^th Streets will be closed at various times from Wednesday morning through approximately noon Sunday. To reduce passenger confusion Route 3 Proctor buses will use only one detour for the entire period starting Wednesday morning, August 16^th until Sunday, August 20^th at noon.

OUTBOUND:  Regular route through Zenith Terrace and back to Boundary Avenue, then detour via left on Boundary Avenue to Highway 2, right on Highway 2 to 2^nd Street, left on 2^ndStreet and regular route.

INBOUND:  Reverse of outbound routing.
