Accepted the resignation letter from Naomi Nyberg, bus driver, effective February 27, 2023. 4. Accepted the resignation from Sonia Sturdevant, 11.25 hours per week educational assistant (riding a bus with a student), effective March 3, 2023. 5. Approved the recommendation to hire Angela Zahn into the 1.0 FTE Early Childhood Special Education teacher position at the Proctor Early Childhood Center effective March 20, 2023. 6. Eliminated the 32.5 hours per week Registered Nurse/educational assistant position at the secondary site. 7. Created a 32.5 hours per week educational assistant with an LPN license position. 8. Accepted the resignation from Rebecca Jacobson as the 37.5 hours per week CO-I cook at the secondary site, effective March 3, 2023. School Board Comments and Observations 1. School Board Celebrations a) Amy Pocrnich referenced the LETRS training. b) Kimberly Parmeter attended the athletic banquet for hockey and wanted to thank the coaches and the senior parents. Kim Sequin created a great presentation. c) Lynn Peterson mentioned the passing of beloved teacher, Patty Muckala. If anyone is interested in donating a children’s book in Patty’s honor, please contact Lynn. d) Larry Shelton thanked the town board for organizing Twig Days, which included hay rides, fires, smores and hot dogs. The event was well-attended and free. Larry thought perhaps a couple hundred people attended the event. B. Student Liaison Board Member Comments 1. Abigail spoke about spring sports including track and lacrosse, and mentioned the upcoming spring break. She further stated students are refreshed after breaks. Abigail referenced the choir contest where two soloists received an excellent rating and the large group also earned an excellent rating. 2. Brita offered good luck to the knowledge bowl team at districts and stated how proud she was of our district and the number of students who have competed recently. She extended a thank you to the community for helping each other to get plowed out from the recent snow storms. Brita referenced the Bay View Times and expressed how exciting it is to get students involved with journalism at such a young age. C. Township and City Communications 1. Remember elections are tomorrow night. Jennifer reminded board members about their talking points. XIV.
