Bay View Elementary school was added to the Minnesota Department of Health’s outbreak list Thursday, Nov. 13.
Bay View moved from hybrid to distance learning Nov. 3. Along with the other schools in the Proctor Public School District it will remain in that model until Jan. 4.
It has been reported that eight staff and three students at Bay View have tested positive for COVID-19.
School buildings get added to the list when 5 or more confirmed cases of COVID-19 in students or staff who were in the building while infectious during a two-week reporting period.
Mountain Iron-Buhl Secondary, Mountain Iron was already on the MDH list. Also on the list from Itasca County are Grand Rapids Senior High and West Rapids Elementary in Grand Rapids.
The MDH updates their data on Thursday’s at 4 p.m.
