Board’s first vitual meeting
comes with surprises updates
Compared to St. Paul school board’s first attempt at doing business by conference call on Monday Proctor’s first live stream video school board meeting was delivered quite well.
On Monday St Paul had reported bad connections, robotic voice reading phone numbers, intermittent heavy breathing. In Proctor the only glitch appeared to be a school board members device occasionally went into mute mode.
The Board used Google Meet, which is available to schools at no charge. Only two board members and the Business Manager were at the meeting while the rest participate remotely some could be viewed lounging in ‘their’ chairs or sofas.
Sixteen people were listed as listening in or attending the 51-minute long meeting. The system the school used could accommodate up to 250.
